Which is better, B corrugated or E corrugated for color boxes?
When we customize and select product packaging materials for corrugated color boxes or corrugated gift boxes, we often use a variety of corrugated paper packaging. Among the corrugated paper materials, they can be divided into A-B-C-D-E-F-G corrugated materials, among which B corrugated materials and E and F materials are used more in corrugated color boxes and corrugated gift boxes. The application areas are in the packaging of wine and beverages, food packaging, hardware packaging, packaging of various products, and packaging of lock parts. Each corrugated material has advantages and disadvantages, so which of these two corrugated materials is better?
1. B corrugated material
B corrugated material is one of the micro corrugated materials. The advantage of B corrugated material is that its cardboard has good stability and can withstand a certain plane pressure. It is suitable for corrugated color boxes, corrugated portable gift box packaging, partitions, linings, etc. B-type corrugated is generally used for transport outer packaging boxes, and beer boxes are generally made of B corrugated. Compared with E-type corrugated, B-type corrugated paper is not as fine as E-type corrugated paper. If we compare the load-bearing capacity, according to the weight and volume of the product, products weighing more than 10 jin or larger in size are more suitable for customized packaging with B-type corrugated materials. The commonly used matching materials in our company are:
Medium material: 300g gray-bottom white board + 140g B corrugated paper + 140g paper.
High-end materials have better load-bearing and stronger pressure resistance, that is, the materials used are: 300g gray-bottom white board + 160g B corrugated paper + 160g paper. If the surface requirements of the corrugated gift box are high, it is recommended to use 350g gray board paper to mount B corrugated paper. The surface of the corrugated gift box or color box made of this combination of materials is smoother and more upscale. In addition to white board paper, the surface of the corrugated gift box can also use cardboard, including (white cardboard, copper cardboard, gold and silver cardboard, art paper, kraft paper, etc.). The post-processing can choose conventional processes such as varnish, matte film or bright film, hot stamping, convex, UV, frosting, embossing, etc.
2. E corrugated material
E corrugated material is also a kind of micro corrugated material, suitable for making small-sized corrugated color boxes, corrugated gift boxes or color boxes. Its corrugated paper density is high, and this kind of micro corrugated material is a relatively fine corrugated. The reason why it can be rapidly developed in the packaging industry is that it has three advantages:
1. Compressive strength-compared with B-type corrugated, the compression resistance is slightly worse. In terms of the characteristics of corrugated paper itself, under the same gram weight, the compression resistance of micro corrugated board exceeds that of ordinary solid paper boxes.
2. Buffering performance-replacing traditional lining is beneficial to environmental protection. Using micro corrugated board as lining to replace traditional buffering materials is not only environmentally friendly but also can increase compressive strength. It is an ideal buffering material.
3. Printing effect-micro corrugated board can be directly printed on offset printing. The direct offset printing method makes the micro corrugated packaging printing more exquisite, highly display and advertising, and greatly improves the grade of packaging.
According to the weight of the product, for products under 10 jin, it is recommended to use general materials, namely 300g gray-bottom white board + 120g E corrugated paper + 120K paper.
Mid-range packaging recommendation: 300g gray-bottom white board + 140g E corrugated paper + 140K paper.
High-end packaging recommendation: 300g gray-bottom white board + 160g E corrugated paper + 160K paper. Without special requirements, 300g gray-bottom white board is generally used as printing surface paper, and 350g surface paper can also be used. The specific material is matched according to the customer's product requirements.
At present, the corrugated material finer than E corrugated material is F corrugated material. However, G corrugated material is more fine and dense than F corrugated material, but the number of packaging uses is relatively small. F corrugated is also used more in food packaging. B, E, and F corrugated can be divided into natural color corrugated and white corrugated. Generally, white corrugated color boxes are used more in food packaging. E corrugated is thin and dense in cardboard, and it is also a micro corrugated. The cushioning performance of corrugated material is slightly poor, and the pressure resistance is slightly weak. It is recommended to customize it into outer packaging corrugated gift boxes or inner packaging corrugated boxes for small products according to the actual size, weight, etc.
